Qadri declared proclaimed offender

RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court declared Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri a proclaimed offender on Monday and issued his arrest warrants in a case of kidnapping and attacking policemen as well as arson at the Lillah motorway interchange during the party’s march from Lahore to hold a sit-in in Islamabad in August.

Judge Chaudhry Abdul Qayyum ordered release of 76 PAT workers against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each and rejected the bail applications of 10 accused.

The case was registered against the chief and 119 activists of the PAT under sections 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and 324, 365-B and 395 of the Pakistan Penal Code by Lillah police on charges of arson, dacoity and attacking, injuring and kidnapping policemen. The workers had gathered at the interchange and staged a demonstration on Dr Qadri’s call.

The workers allegedly injured 16 police officials, burnt a police van and set the Jauharabad police station on fire.

Imran Khan was book for terrorism, and nothing happened, so shall Qadri. Pakistan laws are ineffective, because politicians are above the law.

Proclaimed offender yet everyone seems to know exactly where he is? Either the judges have no other business or the concept of judgement is dead. Perhaps they should have gone to a "Shariah Court".

What about all the PAT and PTI workers that were killed? Where is the arrest warrant for that? One again we see that not only politicians but also legal system, judiciary, police, elections commision and lawyers are all corrupt. Taking their wrath on the poor and miserable for the benefit of the rich and thieves. Gosh I wonder if IK wouldn't stand up to this rotten system to the core who would? There would be no hope zero.

It is apparent that Mr. Qadri incited the poor devotees against the state of Pakistan and prompted attacks on sensitive installations, therefore, an appropriate actions has to be initiated against such self-declared leaders with shifty goals and objectives.

@Sunil Can you tell me what happened to Z.A. Bhutto ? A case was registered against him for killing a politician, while he was in power (P.M. of Pakistan). The case lay dormant for years, but finally he was tried for it, and sentenced to death.

Height of injustice (justice delayed is indeed justice denied) And then all these institutions/courts outcry when they see the people not paying them due respect....
