CHARSADDA: A young man allegedly killed his parents and two brothers and critically injured his sister-in-law over delay in arranging his marriage in Tangi tehsil here on Friday night.

Local police said that the suspect, Gul Ahmed, stated to be around 25 years of age who had done diploma in civil engineering, escaped from the scene of the crime, took place at Piran Aurangzaib Qala area.

The injured, Ms Shakeela, who was referred to Peshawar from a local hospital, told the police that her brother-in-law, Gul Ahmed, had been demanding of his parents for quite some time to arrange his marriage but they were reluctant to do so. She claimed that the parents had been telling him that as he was jobless, it was not suitable for him to be married.

The complainant alleged that on Friday night the suspect exchanged hot words with the family members over the same issue following which he opened fire on them with a Kalashnikov.

The firing incident resulted in killing of the suspect’s parents named Sher Nawab and Ms Ramza, and his two elder brothers, Shah Wali and Waheed.

The Mandani police registered FIR on the complaint of Shakeela and began investigations.
