LAHORE: A special team of the Wagah Town municipal administration on Monday retrieved 70-kanal land from land-grabbers who had been occupying the terrain since long in the Lahore Press Club Housing Society in Harbanspura.

Led by the Shalimar assistant commissioner, the team reached the Journalists Colony along with town and police officials as well as heavy machinery and retrieved the land after razing illegally-built structures.

The possession of the retrieved land was given to the colony management committee headed by press club president Arshad Ansari.

LPC office bearers thanked Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Zaeem Qadri for their cooperation in this regard.
