KASUR: Pattoki city police booked four people, including a woman, on Tuesday after recovering the body of a young girl from a house.

According to police, they got a tip-off that a woman, Amira Bibi, allegedly running a brothel, was about to dispose of the body of a girl, later identified as Zubaida, 18, with the help of her three male accomplices.

A police party headed by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Amin raided the house and seized the girl’s body, the police said, adding that all the four suspects had already fled the scene.

The police shifted the body to Pattoki tehsil headquarters hospital (THQ).

The police entered a case against the suspects without making any arrest so far.

Police suspect the girl might have been kidnapped and was trying to escape when she was murdered.

Investigations were under way.
