DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rimsha Farooq, a first year student who died in Sunday’s Wagah blast, was laid to rest in her native village Mana Ahmedani on Monday.

Studying in a Lahore college, Rimsha was staying with her maternal uncle. She visited the border along with her uncle Nadeem, aunt Dr Captain Shumaila, minor cousins Inaya and Hania to see the flag-lowering ceremony.

Rimsha and the family of her uncle perished in the blast.

Her funeral prayers were attended by a large number of people, including MPA Mehmood Qadir Leghari, DCO Nadeemur Rehman and DPO Ghulam Mubashar Maikin.
