Parking is not allowed throughout Sharea Faisal, especially from Drigh Road to Metropole.

However, taking advantage of its institutional position, the Faisal Cantonment Board has encroached upon the footpath outside its office near the PAF base bridge and carved out a parking lot for its staff vehicles.

Copying the conduct of the cantonment board, a large supermarket at Awami Markaz on Sharea Faisal has also started doing the same.

I would like to point out to the cantonment board, as well as to the authorities concerned, that if this illegal parking is not checked, the menace of illegal parking, which is also a revenue-generating activity even for many institutions, will encroach upon both sides of Sharea Faisal.
