The resolution was jointly moved by Sohail Akbar and other PPP members in the backdrop of a recent demand by the MQM to create more administrative units in Sindh.
Earlier, the opposition staged a walkout after Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza did not allow Shahyar Mehar to move a resolution.
The dispute began on allotment of seats in the new assembly hall as the opposition objected that its members were not allotted seats together.
The opposition member and treasury benches exchanged heated words and the hall then echoed with slogans “Marsoon Marsoon Sindh Na Desoon”.
MQM members boycotted the session in protest against the arrest of its workers overnight.

It is good because there is no reason for division of Sindh Province. If their demand for division is accepted then they will come up with some more funny demands.

Even it is sin to discuss the idea of division of Sindh, which is a sacred for millions of Sindhis living in Sindh and around the globe. Sindh was a separate homeland of Sindhis known even at the of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Those who do not feel happy and cannot live comfortably with their Sindhi brothers, have no right to live in Sindh, and can choose to back to India or from where they have come to reclaim their identity.

There should be any division in any province of Pakistan however administrative de centerlization should be done on war footing essentially required to create good governance. Law should be made to also elect Mohair CM in sindh. Mohair have suffered enough, should not suffer anymore. East west south north Sindh should be mate

SINDH MY MOTHERLAND.
I appeal to all Sindhis living around the world, irrespective of their cast or religion, to unite and defend their motherland the historical SINDH. My advise to all the trash living in Sindh is to vacate my motherland, however there is a bait for them. They are welcome to live in Sindh, if they adopt the Sindhi culture and language and live in Sindh with loyalty to Sindh.

@Human First
It's need of hour for more provinces on administratively basis in all over the country.
So why not in Sindh..kinldy look around yourself .....in all over the world it's a phenomena tht whenever there is a requirement ....they sub divided there states...e.g Iran, India, USA etc......
Kindly make politics out of it...
when PPP & other parties support the division of Punjab provinces then y they have double standards for sindh..
this is called hypocracy....

@Moosa Or a warning by PPP to MQM not mention provinces again.
Whilst all other countries in the world have various provinces/ states to ensure better governance and transfer of power to local communities, in Pakistan Political parties will never allow that to happen to keep control of the province i.e vote bank, funds, corruption.
Nothing wrong with what MQM is demanding. Pakistan will never progress if we keep to 4 provinces which is the main reason for governance issues, corruption and most importantly division on the basis of ethnicity.

Karachi and adjoining areas to be declared a province. This idea is opposed by all because it will dent into PPP's source of loot mar, they are plundering as rest of the province have no charm for them. Again the fear of MQM is weakening day by day due to it's corrupt and extortionists way, there JI and PML-N Which can manage the city better without any ethenic problem

Dividing the present provinces into smaller ones is a good idea. It has many advantages. But not too many provinces. Somewhere about 8 or ten provinces will increase the administrative efficiency in favor of people.
But the politicians will not let that happen. Politicians want to have bigger authority and power over bigger provinces. This, for that reason, should not be left up to the politicians. There should be a referendum in the country. The people should be educated on the advantages of smaller provinces through a campaign before the referendum. Good luck.

The hypocrisy of so called Sindhis and PPP is ridiculous. For your attention and knowledge... Sindh Province, unlike any other province of Pakistan, is already divided into Urban and Rural Sindh. Go read CSS laws and regulations of Pakistan. This does not happen in Punjab, KPK or Baluchistan.
Either divide into two, or end the (urban/rural) division. You cannot have both.

I heard we need provinces for administrative purposes, but I think it needs to be done without offending the identity or "dividing" the ethnic identity of people... Like you can make different provinces in Punjab, but all the people in those provinces would remain "punjabis" without the sense of losing their identity.

Now look at the size of sindh. Be proud of what you have achieved with your hands not where you were born by pure natural accident.

@fida sayani Wow! I knew provincialism existed in Pakistan but not to this extent. This is exactly the reason why Pakistan can never progress or fulfil it's potential.
Thanks for putting me "a mohair" in his place because of course we are trash, our forefathers didn't struggle for Azadi, because we destroyed Karachi and if it was for Sindhis and Punjabis Pakistan will be like a European country.
I also apologise on behalf of Jinnah and Iqbal wo were also mohajirs and encouraged us Indians to migrate to your "MOTHERLAND"
And what was that.. You want me to adopt your culture. Jiye Bhutto, I love waderas and will vote for PPP next time. I will even dump English and Urdu for world acclaimed Sindhi language which will be so handy when I travel around. Us mohajirs are so stupid!
Do I now have your permission to stay in Karachi?

@mohammad shafique look at yourself ancient refugee out saying stuff to new refugees. If any of sindh's post partition rulers were smart and honest they would have created new planned cities in their mother land. The only development done by them is in corruption and in the production of mangos, dates and bandits.

This is the exact reason we need education so people listen to understand instead of listening to reply only.
Biggest producers of the country is Karachi. And is dominated by...? Without them everyone would be sitting on their butts doing nothing. Just an absent thought, but think about it before asking them to go to their motherland. Staying there would be better for them anyway than living in this quagmire of a country (that it has become).
@Wandering Around Time of Ayub is ancient history... Look at recent history and how the Nazim system helped the City.
Don't divide Sind borders... No separation. Just allocate resources on an economic basis (highest efficiency) and PPP sucks at economics (nationalization anyone?)
Don't get emotional. This isn't a soap opera.
Education first so that logic prevails. Learn from the Germans not Brazil.

Guess what Sindh Assembly forgot to do? I think, last term they gave members big salary raise & to select few, pension, servant, gardener, driver, police escorts after retirement. Yes, all paid for by poor tax payers of Sind? Please do not forget to give these HARD WORKING assembly workers big salary raise. Also please do not ask these assembly members to pass any bills that might help tax payers if province of Sindh. Yes, please DO NOT ASK FOR, improvement to education system or health care medical system or elimination of crimes from the streets. Such demands might upset these political elites. TAX PAYERS of province of Sindh must continue keeping these assembly members on payroll, and must not ask any performance or positive results. Just give them, more money, pay for their salaries, all the benefit and yes, provide them police security all the time. Just give them more money, more money all the time.
