HYDERABAD: The engine of the Karachi-bound Shalimar Express was damaged and the driver and second driver injured when it rammed into a truck that had developed a fault while crossing the tracks at Narejani, near Detha, on Tuesday night.

The train left for Hyderabad after a delay of over two hours, at about 1am.

According to Rahuki police, the truck, loaded with gravel, was going from here to Mirpurkhas and its driver and cleaner fled after seeing the train rushing towards it.
