Arrests, torture will not stop creation of Naya Pakistan: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Addressing a charged crowd at the PTI Azadi March, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan said that the government could arrest his party workers or torture them but a new Pakistan would be created regardless.
At a gathering marking the thirtieth day of the protest in Islamabad city, Khan said ‘the tigers and tigresses are not scared of suicide bombers’.
“Nawaz Sharif grew up in the nursery of a dictator and does not know the Pakistani nation,” the PTI chief said.
He further criticised Maulana Fazlur Rehman and said that the JUI-F Chief would never again be able to win a single seat.
On the occasion, Khan said that the high-ups of Islamabad and Punjab police would be taken to the courts for justice.
It must be noted that two days ago Khan had said that he would share the names of the killers of MQM MPA Tahira Asif and Minority MPA Hendry Masih. However, at the dharna he did not reveal the names of the alleged killers.
The Imran Khan-led movement against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, had partially paralysed life in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Containers and police personnel continue to guard state buildings against charged protesters.
Khan has rallied supporters with the aim to remove Nawaz as prime minister in protest of alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections.

I don't doubt the sincerity of IK but I have a question for him. How can you create a Naya Pakistan with Chaudries, Jehangir Tehreen, Sheikh Rashid, Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, Leghari and other remnants of Gen. Musharraf, Gen Zia, and PPP? Can someone help me to understand?

@W.Shaikh: One word answer is - SYSTEM.....IK always talks about strengthening of the systems and creation of institutions.....just as in the US, it does not matter who is in power, their institutions are so strong that the person in charge becomes irrelevant....this is what we need......unless the corrupt bureaucracy is replaced and appointments are made under a strong system, things will not change.....Intra-party elections are another great step towards strengthening of the party.....it will make the party independent in its decisions and minimise reliance on individuals.....just give them some time....

Before throwing a musician into Jail how about doing some justice and:
1. Arresting the **PML-N's MPA sons who gang raped a girl** in Punjab recently and are still roaming free.
2. Arresting the PM Nawaz for fooling the public by setting up fake flood reliefs camps which have already been caught by local media.
3. Arresting PML-N **Law minister of Punjab Rana Mashood for openly asking for bribe** which has also been caught on camera.
4. Arresting the k**illers of Model town** protestors that include unarmed women these killers are still roaming free. (Shahbaz Sharif, Head of Punjab Police, Rana Sanaullah)
5. Opening a case against Punjab Police for not registering a police report and FIR against model town killers intentionally.
6. and hundreds thousands of other untouched justified legitimate cases...

For the longest time I felt that we Pakistanis don't deserve a man like Imran Khan. We know how corrupt and incompetent these politicians are, yet we do nothing!
I really hope that IK scores a major win and brings this false system down. He is the only hope for Pakistan, otherwise i just see things getting worse. If IK fails, it will be a huge blow to real democracy and to all the people who have stood up for their rights.

I was called a "Noora-leak" supporter, "Nawaz Sharif ka banda", was questioned whether Noora-league was paying me by "educated" people. Ad hominems and personal attacks, etc are too often used by "educated" PTI supporters and IK himself as well. Though 95% of my friends and social circle will disagree and then go on to use almost the exact same language and display the same sort of intolerance!! Yayyy for our "educated" class!!!

I am surprise, people sitting in his Dharna and calling themselves creator of new Pakistan, while Pakistan in sinking into flood. It is shame that these Dharna people are singing and dancing and celebrating one month of what bothering entire nation. And still they are trying to get away that flood relief is job of Government. What kind of leadership is that who has distributed suffering of people into Government job and opposition job. I dont like Sharif and his party but atleast they are out in the field and trying to minimize their suffering instead of dancing on dead bodies.

What Naya Pakistan is Imran khan talking about. There is no more hope yaar. Look around Pakistan beta. Hospitals have no medicine, schools have no books and teachers, inflation is sky high, rampant killings everywhere and there are more slums in Pakistan today then 60 years. People are committing suicide because there is no food to feed their kids. There is no water in the taps and electricity supply is limited. So what naya Pakistan is Imran khan talking about? Every Pakistani who has some education and money is trying to migrate overseas.

One can not lose hope, no matter what. Those who say that Naya Pakistan can't come with old politicians along side IK then don't these people know about Faisal Javed Khan, Murad Saeed, Asad Umar, Ali Muhammad Khan, Sheryar Afridi, Omar Cheema, Aaisha Gulalai, Naz Baloch, Ali Zaidi and many other up and coming politicians from PTI. These young politicians are there and are being groomed to play crucial roles in the future. And the best part is that none of them are relatives of Imran Khan. I still would say that having old politicians in PTI isn't a crime if they have felt that they genuinely need to improve Pakistan but don't say that there are old ones. The young politicians are learning from these old politicians how to carefully walk the road to success without getting dirty in the otherwise dirty politics of Pakistan.

The dictator had arrested 60 judges along with their families and imposed 2nd martial law.
Dictator Musharraf imposed curbs on the media while under the incumbent democratic government Imran Khan is getting live media coverage (which keeps him relevant).

In my view the foreign observers gave a matter of fact answer .
There were irregularities but enough to alter the end result of the election.
IK blamed all ,the Supreme Court judges, the election commissioner and the Tribunal heads. Is it possible to corrupt all these people. My answer is No. I would want to see the reliable evidence which can pass the strict test in a court of law.
IK lost his credibility .

How can people from purana school of pakistan can create naya pakistan and what is wrong with present pakistan, for the first time in history of pakistan a civilian government survived and elections held to transfer power to newly elected government, the main difference between democracy and dictatorship is that democracy takes time a lot of time sometime generations.
However in dictatorship everything can be changed as per one person's wish, you can dictate every person wear sherwani and call Pakistan prosperous ad Zia-Ul-Haq did 70s.
Imran Khan is trying to be dictator elected by people, in democracy you need to learn accepting a defeat and people's verdict, public service is for welfare for people and making people going to rallies he is wasting there time and rozi rotti.

This statement of Imran Khan also alludes to the possibility of taking a long time, maybe years, to create a new Pakistan. A good normal revolution does take that long, and Imran Khan seems adamant in achieving his goal. Pakistanis are no longer tribal people of the past where every tribe or Qabilah had a leader like king and these tribal leaders use to continue fighting with other tribal leaders for power. Pakistanis are now educated and civilized and they abide by constitution and laws of Pakistan. May Almighty help people of Pakistan, whose dream of independent country has been stolen by crooked dynasties. Many gave up everything and travelled across subcontinent India to be citizen of theris newly born country call Pakistan. But for years these corrupt dynasties have ruled it, getting richer at expense of poor population. Lets hope new breed of honest, hard working and capable people come to forefront who can propel this country forward in trade, commerce, techology, literacy, job creation, security and justice. Long live Pakistan, Long live Pak Military.
