LAHORE: The Sports Board Punjab’s Lahore Lions Kabaddi team departed for India via the Wagah border here on Saturday to feature in the next match of the World Kabaddi League (WKL) against Yo Yo Tigers scheduled to be held in Ludhiana on Sunday.

Indian actress Sonakshi Sinha’s Kabaddi team United Singhs will face Royal Kings USA in the first encounter on Sunday which will be followed by the second match between Lahore Lions and Yo Yo Tigers.

Lahore Lions’ skipper Babar Gujjar said that his boys were quite upbeat about giving tough time to their rivals on Indian soil.

“We are well-trained and quite ready to face the challenge and maintain our good performance in the league,” he said.

So far the Lahore Lions have won three out of total four matches they have played in England and India.
