RAWALPINDI: An armyman was shot dead over an old enmity while a woman was axed to death allegedly by her stepson on Monday, police said.

Mohammad Usman, the army soldier, along with his father was going to visit one of his relatives in Chontra when his rivals killed him.

Police said none of the accused identified in the murder was arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, a woman was axed to death allegedly by her stepson in the limits of the Jatli police.

Mohammad Fayyaz told the police that his son was not happy with his second marriage. He alleged that on Monday his son killed his stepmother and escaped.
