BADIN: The Badin Express, which had been suspended nearly a month ago, was restored on Thursday apparently due to protests by regular travellers.

The Badin-Hyderabad train service had been suspended for want of a locomotive as the Pakistan Railways had been running short of engines at the Hyderabad junction for a couple of months. It remained suspended for 27 days during which protests were held by people, particularly Badin- and Tando Mohammad Khan-based traders, shuttling between the two cities on a regular basis.
