The American War cemetery ahead of Memorial Day ceremonies in Colleville-sur-Mer. A crowd of 10,000 guests is expected to descend on the American cemetery in Normandy for D-Day commemorations next week where perfectly spaced white marble headstones mark the 9,387 American soldiers buried here who fell 70 years ago during the Normandy beach landing campaign. International leaders will gather to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the beaches in Normandy.

It was a rich man's war- fought with utmost savagery using the poor slave nation soldiers as cannon fodder and minesweepers and conveniently forgotten by the white man and the history written by him!
