ISLAMABAD: Information secretary of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday reiterated her party’s allegations against the Geo television network and asked the latter to tender an “unreserved apology” to party chairman Imran Khan for “carrying out a vilification campaign against him”.

Speaking at a press conference held at the PTI’s central secretariat, Dr Shireen Mazari said the media group which owned the Geo television network had “clearly supported” the PML-N in its coverage of the general elections and had even made a premature announcement regarding the party’s success, to influence the overall results across the country.
