Forty suicide jackets seized at Torkham border

PESHAWAR: Security forces on Sunday seized 40 suicide vests at the Torkham border which were being smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan.
Official sources said the suicide jackets did not contain any explosives, but were being transported to Pakistan with the intention of being used for suicide missions.
The sources said that this was going to be done with the aid of local operators who were to fill the jackets with explosives.
The officials said that the Khasadar force personnel have also arrested an Afghan national who was smuggling the jackets into Pakistan.
The accused has been shifted to Landikotal jail where authorities are further investigating the matter.
Some sources say that the accused might have been a spy tasked with the shipment but there is no official confirmation about this information.

Pakistan provided shelter and means of livelihood for millions of Afghans, since 1981, and collected aid from the US, and this is what our Afghan neighbors has to offer.

Find the roots of the cause to cure this problem. So lets ask USA this simple question. Afghanistan land is being used now to bring the death to Pakistan's innocent countrymen. Do Pakistanis also reserve the right to bomb afghanistan and usa for bringing this trouble to us? Pakistan has to do more. Everytime Pakistan is asked to do more. Now its time for Pakistan to ask USA to do more.

And here I thought Pakistan was smuggling insurgents into Afghanistan! Instead of playing blame-game, I think each country (Pakistan and Afghanistan) should look into their own backyards and see what they can do to curtail terrorism!

Coming accross Afghan border does not mean the Afghans are aginst their Pakistani brothers. That Afghani who was simply smuggling a consignment into Pakistan. Pakistan forces needs to capture the source which could be anybody who has an agenda aginst Pakistan.

Afghanistan is a nation that exports and supports terrorism. They should be ostracised, and embargoed. We should immediately shutdown all traffic going into Afghanistan through Pakistan, demand that the Afghans investigate and arrest the instigators of these jackets and cooperate fully with Pak authorities.

back in the days of Soviet occupation, the Afghan communist regime used its Khad agency to plot terrorist attacks and assassinations
Hammer group , use of toy bombs and and bombing public places was one of the many things they did.
the Northern alliance consists of many ex-communist leaders who are warlords and have special hatred for Pakistan which they never tried to hide. with the over Indian cooperation their activities will intensify.
in case anyone has any innocent doubt then the 2 incidents are a proof when Americans caught the Afghan intelligence hosting the TTP terrorists,. in one of such incidents the Americans snatched away the TTP courier and his interrogation helped in taking out TTP leader Hakim Ullah Mehsood.

Any comments, from Mr. Karzai and his close aides about this gift of love? I guess not.
But Pakistan should keep on helping it's Afghan brothers, sisters and children, who have been living in Pakistan since late 70s. They have nothing to do with this. May "Allah keep us all safe from the ignorant ones"

@Ayesha . You can't label all Afghans to be terrorists and bent on to harm Pakistani people. Please let the investigators do their job before you jump to the conclusion. Since they did not contain any explosives or metal pieces, they could be ordinary belts used by civilians. Pakistan authorities must complete the investigation,to find out the origin of shipment, its destination and arrest all these people involved in the shipment on bothy side of the border.
