DERA MURAD JAMALI: Three policemen were seriously injured after their vehicle was hit by a bomb triggered by a remote control on Tuesday.

Police officials said that Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Ghafar Salachi was on a routine patrolling in Mir Hassan area of the Nasirabad district when his vehicle was hit by a powerful bomb near Pero Pull area.

The bomb blast left DSP Ghafar Salachi, Inspector Sobidar Sail and driver Abdul Razaq seriously injured.

They were taken to a local hospital.

“It was a remote-control bomb and five kilograms of explosives were used in it,” DIG Nasirabad Range Qamarul Hasan told journalists. He said that police had launched a search operation to arrest the militants who carried out the attack.
