KARACHI: Larkana produced a clinical performance on Saturday to outgun the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) by eight wickets to clinch the One-day Cricket Tournament (for new regions) title in Multan.

Ayaz Jamali and Ghulam Yasin both hit undefeated half-centuries as Larkana made light work of a 176-run chase, a target achieved with no less than 136 balls to spare in the final played at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Ayaz scored 83 and Yasin contributed 62 as Larkana cantered home in 27.2 overs.

Earlier, Fata were all out for a modest 173 in the 46th over after Larkana won the toss and decided to field first.

Mohammad Irfan was the top-scorer with 42. Khushdil Shah made 38 and Mohammad Naeem 23.

Paceman Mohammad Siddique claimed three wickets for 42 runs. He received good support from Ali Murtaza (2-22), Imran Chandio (2-24) and Mohammad Urs (2-28).

The same teams would contest the four-day final of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-II tournament in Multan from Monday.
