Looks like International Olympic committee does not know about pakistan. Over here, nothing happens without govt involvement.

Do we need Olympics? We need to solve our problems. Forget about IOC, which has its own agenda. On one had it does not want government inference in sport federations. On the other hand its supports certain agenda dubbed as social agenda, however, it is the same agenda that few dominant countries are pursing. IOC is totally politics.

Clean the olympic committee of black sheep such as Syed Aqil Shah (fake degree holder) and corrupt to the core man who has brought the sport in disrepute and Pakistan can save face

In last two Olympics, all our neighbours have won medals, including Iran, India and even Afghanistan but we haven't won any. A retired Lieutenant General is heading our Olympic Committee and sports federations and under his chairmanship there is no hope for any glory. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) doesn't have a clue that government's involvement is very much necessary at this time. Pakistan has abundance of talent in sports and athletics which is being wasted.

After being alienated from every other arena of the world, this doesn't really come as a surprise.

Bilawal will recommend Uzair Baloch to go with Olympic team in Boxing event. Nawaz Sharif will ask Najam Sethi to take his driver as manager of the hockey team. Mamnoon Hussain wants to just accompany the team for a joy ride. Where is the political meddling. show me one

Please do not take this warning lightly. The IOC means business and is never reluctant to take the extreme step of suspension if its charter is violated by any of its members. India is an example. Ultimately, the tainted persons had to quit for the sake of nation and immediately, after new elections to IOA, the country was instantaneously re admitted at winter olympics. One feels totally isolated when the country is not a part of a mega international sports event. So please act before any further humiliation comes to your country.

Yes. proposing "further dialogue" is a very old trick, evolved in Pakistan, for any situation where the defeated party puts forward its best speaker to maneuver (by hook or by crook) to declare victory, or to make it sound like a victory, or to make their defeat at least suspicious and then never to accept it. Our history (even in books) is full of it to the brim; many victories (except of course some real ones) have been achieved mostly through "further dialogue", sometimes only with its own people (that is deciding their victory without the third party's participation). The whole world may differ, but that doesn't matter! This technique is so successfully used every single day from the house of Billu cycle wala ( slum dweller) to the highest office in the government. I can mention (but I won't) a long list of such victories we achieved in Pakistan ever since its birth. Many political parties JUSTIFY their existence by using this technique. You can challenge their existence today, and they will propose a dialogue to prove you wrong. Give it a try.

@IKE: Boy I admire your restrain. I can see the effort you made but surely stopped yourself from saying that Olympics are NOT Islamic and should not interest us at all.

I'd say take the IOC on and get the ban. Then at least we'll have an excuse for being the biggest nation not having brought home a medal. Win-win in my books.

Paksitan Sports Board and Ministry Sports (IPC) is continuously dodging IOC since long with the word "DIALOG".
