SUKKUR: Excise police on Monday claimed to have seized  25 kilogrammes of high quality heroin from a Karachi-bound truck coming from Peshawar.

They said the truck was intercepted in Rohri on a tip-off that the contraband was being smuggled to Karachi. During a search of the truck (Registration No.P-8745) heroin was found concealed in its secret cavities. Driver Fazal Khan and his two companions Bismillah Khan and Hamid Khan were arrested. The police estimated the seized heroin’s value in the international market at around Rs250 million.
