KARACHI: Top seed Mohammad Raza Sawani proved too good for up and coming Amin Shafi to reach last four in under-15 singles of the Sindh ranking tennis for Union Club trophy at the club premises on Saturday.

Sawani, who won 6-1, 6-0 faces Hania Naveed in the semi-final after the latter carved out 6-1, 7-5 victory over Rayyan Jawwad in the other first round match.

In yet another match, Ebad Sarwar was home 6-4, 6-4 over Shabbir Mohammad to advance into semis where he likely to meet second seed Hasan Farooq if nothing unforeseen happens.

Rayyan, however, earned some consolation when he beat Samir Shamsi 6-3, 6-2 to reach under-13 singles semis.

Under-13 singles:

First round: Rayyan Jawwad bt Syed Samir Shamsi 6-3, 6-2; Mohammad Ahmed bt Rida Khan 6-2, 6-3.

Under 11- singles:

Round robin: Ghufran Faiz bt Mohammad Yahya 8-3; Waqas Bhutto bt Saim Danish 8-2.
