KOHAT, Nov 11: Unknown armed motorcyclists on Monday deprived a contractor of Kohat Cadet College of Rs1.5 million near Askari Plaza here.

The police said the contractor of the college, Mohammad Saeed, was confronted by two motorcyclists when he was approaching his vehicle parked in front of the plaza after drawing money from two banks. The motorcyclists snatched a bag from him at gunpoint and vanished from the scene, said the police. A case was registered in the cantonment police station and efforts stated to arrest the accused, said an official.

OUTLAWS ARRESTED: The Kohat police arrested 64 proclaimed offenders and recovered arms from then during search operation in October.

In a press release issued from the district police office on Monday, it was stated that the seized items included 32 Kalashnikovs, 168 pistols, 46 shotguns, 25 rifles, two kalakovs, 40 kilogram of explosives, a heavy machine gun and a light machine gun. The police registered cases against the criminals in respective police stations and initiated inquiry against them.—Correspondent
