MURREE, Sept 14: On the direction of the Punjab government, the Assistant Commissioner Office Murree will issue domicile certificates to the residents of Murree. Earlier, the domicile certificates were issued by the Deputy Commissioner Office Rawalpindi. This caused inconvenience to people living in far-flung areas.

The process of obtaining domiciles was a tedious. After completing the necessary documents the applicants had to travel to Rawalpindi to submit the forms and then wait for months.

Hundreds of people arrived at the Assistant Commissioner Office on the first day. — Correspondent
