QUETTA, Aug 19: The Anti-Terrorism Court Quetta has directed police to produce retired General Pervaiz Musharraf before it on Sept 10, when the next hearing in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case will be held.

During the hearing on Monday, Judge Mohammad Ismail Baloch expressed displeasure over non-production of the former president despite court’s orders.

The court re-issued arrest warrants for former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, ex-governor Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani and ex-deputy commissioner Abdul Samad Lasi of Dera Bugti.

In the FIR lodged with the Dera Bugti police station, Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, had nominated high officials of the then government, including Gen Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, Owais Ghani, the then interior minister, former chief minister, former home minister and ex-deputy commissioner.

Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao was interior minister then, the late Jam Mohammad Yousuf chief minister and Mir Shoaib Nausherwani held the portfolio of home minister.
