QUETTA, July 26: Traders observed a strike in parts of Balochistan on Friday to condemn the abduction of a leader of the Baloch National Movement allegedly by security forces, and an attack on a Bugti tribesman in Ghotki who had settled in Sindh after the 2008 military operation in Dera Bugti. The strike call was given by the Baloch National Front (BNF). Shops remained closed in trading centres of Nushki, Panjgur and Turbat towns.

In a statement, the BNF accused the security forces of abducting a BNM leader, Sadiq Jamaldani, a few days ago from Nushki area. It also condemned the attack on the house of Hasil Khan Bugti in Ghotki allegedly by the security forces. Hasil Bugti was forced to settle in Sindh after a military operation in 2008, the statement added.
