LAHORE, July 5: Jamatud Dawa ameer Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has said the Pakistani government should take bold steps to stop drone attacks.

Addressing a rally against drone attacks at Chauburji here on Friday, he said the biggest challenge for the government was to tackle drone attacks and American policies.

He urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice on drone attacks and identify the people who allowed them in the country. “Drone strikes, target killings and suicide attacks are inter-connected,” he said.

Hafiz Saeed said that drones strikes were creating hatred among the tribal people against the Pakistani government because they believed that these were allowed by the government.

He also alleged that America, India and Israel were behind the unrest in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

About the border security, he said the US would have to leave Afghanistan, adding that it was trying to strengthen the position of India in Afghanistan.

Hafiz Saeed lauded the government for entering into agreements with China and termed it a positive step for the betterment of the country.
