ISLAMABAD, May 14 Top seeds Amir Atlas and Farhan Mehboob made the seventh COAS Squash Championship final after recording impressive wins in their respective semi-final encounters at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Thursday.

In the day's first semi-final, Yasir Butt of Wapda made a good start against Wapda's defending champion Amir, taking the first two games 11-1 and 11-6. However, Amir struggled to fight back from two games down to complete a 3-2 victory. He dispatched Yasir 11-8 in the third game and continued to improve in the fourth and fifth game, winning them relatively comfortably 11-3, 11-6.

In the other semi-final, Wapda's Farhan shrugged off the challenge from PAF's Mansoor Zaman 3-1 in 27 minutes. After bagging a tough quarter-final against Waqar Mehboob, Mansoor failed to limit Farhan who won 9-11, 11-7, 12-10, 11-3.

Meanwhile, in the girls event Maria Toor of Wapda hammered Army's Zoya Khalid 3-1 in a 37-minute semi-final with scores being 11-13, 11-1, 11-6, 11-9.In the second semi-final Muqaddas Ashraf of Wapda outgunned Saima Shoukat of the same organisation 4-1 in a 33-minute match with game scores being 11-8, 9-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-3.
