KARACHI: Shahrukh Jatoi, the key suspect in the Shahzeb Khan murder case, surrendered himself to authorities in the Pakistani consulate in Dubai, Islamabad’s ambassador to the UAE said on Monday.

Shahrukh will be flown back on the first available flight to Pakistan, Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan said, adding that Senior Superintendent of Sindh Police (SSP), Niaz Khoso was present at the consulate for Sharukh’s arrest.

Shahrukh Jatoi is the prime suspect in the murder of twenty-year-old Karachi youth Shahzeb Khan. His father, Sikandar Jatoi, who is known to be an influential businessman, was arrested from outside the Supreme Court premises in Lahore for allegedly helping his son flee the country after Shahzeb’s murder.

Shahzeb, son of Deputy Superintendent of Police Aurangzeb Khan, was gunned down on the night between Dec 24 and 25 when he was returning home, along with his sister, after attending a wedding at the Country Club Apartments.

The Supreme Court  had taken notice of the murder and had directed authorities to produce the accused in court.
