LAHORE, Oct 14: Two unidentified persons allegedly shot dead the owner of an LPG shop after an argument on Bund Road in Islampura here on Friday.

Quoting witnesses, the Islampura police said that Riaz Siddique of Sandah was present at his shop when a motorcycle-rickshaw came there and the driver asked for filling gas. Meanwhile, a passenger started shouting at the rickshaw driver for the delay. They both exchanged hot words and the enraged passenger started slapping the driver.

At this, Riaz intervened and saved the driver from the passenger. About an hour later, the same passenger appeared along with his accomplice and fired at Riaz, killing him on the spot.

The suspects fled the scene. Police shifted the body to hospital for an autopsy and launched investigation. — Staff Reporter
