SUKKUR, Dec 6: Highwaymen killed a man and injured two others after intercepting a coach and looting its passengers.

A Karachi-bound coach from Peshawar came under attack on reaching near the Azeem Railway Crossing in the Kashmore area on Sunday night.

The armed men were robbing the passengers of cash, cell phones, gold ornaments and other valuables when few passengers resisted their attempt. This irked the burglars who opened fire killing coach driver Haq Nawaz Pathan and injuring two others, Mohammad Asif Nawaz Junejo. They fled from the scene by resorting to aerial firing.—Correspondent
