6 injured in roadside blast near FC vehicle in Quetta

At least four security personnel and two civilians were injured in a blast in Quetta's Western Bypass area on Monday, police sources said.

The Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were on a routine patrol when their vehicle was targeted through a bomb planted on the roadside.

The blast left the vehicle partially damaged. The injured were rushed to the FC hospital.

Police and FC personnel reached the site and started investigation into the incident.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.

In November last year, three FC officials were killed and seven others were injured in a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) blast which occurred near their vehicle in Peshawar's Bashirabad area.

The number of attacks in the country has fallen around 70 per cent, due to a combination of the military offensive against Taliban bases along the Afghan border and government initiatives to tackle militancy, but attacks on security and civilian targets continue to occur occasionally.

I think old models of vehicles cause roadside blast and road of quetta is also responsible for such blast, i also read a news from www.gari.pk/news/ that unsuitable models of vehicles for road also cause road accident.

Basically author of those vehicle manufacturer made mistake while making vehicle for unwanted roads, off course roads are also at fault, because why the road are there? There shouldn't be any road, then someone will concerns yes the rocks are at fault, but i would say that my fingers are at fault that why my fingers brought the truth for the eyes of concern, knowingly that everyone in this world are wearing glasses.

@imtiaz ali khan ……attacks on security and civilian targets continue to occur occasionally. (Dawn 2/1/2017). Lives of our armed forces are lost and the Government merely takes a notice of such events and keeps quiet. Shouldn’t there be some detailed investigations into why such attacks take place and proper action is taken to eliminate such attacks. I remember in UK when there were IRA attacks, British Government took steps i.e. talked to IRA and brought the matter to an end. A negotiated settlement even with the so-called terrorists is the only way out of this war on terror. Most importantly, the Government should come out of this US War on Terror and stop receiving US Military Aid.
