Surgical strike?

Published October 6, 2016

NEW Delhi has claimed that on Sept 29 Indian forces carried out a surgical strike on Pakistani posts along the LoC in which they killed and wounded our soldiers.

According to the dictionary a ‘surgical strike’ is conducted with extreme precision. Examples that come to mind are the Israeli air strike on Iraq’s Orisak nuclear facility in 1981. Israel carried out a surgical strike earlier in 1976 at the Entebbe airfield in Uganda to free hostages of a hijacked plane. The operation resulted in the death of only one Israeli soldier, a few of the civilians who were taken hostage, all the hijackers, but not a single Ugandan was killed in the incident.

No such thing happened on the LoC for which India is trying to take credit.
