Sports journalist passes away
KARACHI, April 25: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) media manager and former sports journalist Syed Akber Ali Wahidi died of a cardiac arrest in his sleep in Faisalabad on Monday.
He was about 53.
Akbar Wahidi, a popular figure in football circles was in Faisalabad in connection with NBP All Pakistan Football Tournament when he was found dead in his hotel room on Monday morning, a spokesman of the PFF said.
He has left behind a son, a widow and a mother to mourn his death.
PFF is making arrangements to dispatch of his body to his hometown Karachi where he will be laid to rest.
PFF President Faisal Saleh Hayat, Secretary Ahmed Yar Lodhi and Director Operations Pervez Saeed Mir have condoled the death.—APP
