KARACHI: IGP orders registration of domestic servants

KARACHI, March 3: Sindh Inspector General of Police Jehangir Mirza has directed the Clifton Town Police Officer to implement the suggestions submitted by the Defence Housing Authority Residents Society regarding registration of domestic servants.

During a meeting with a 10-member delegation of DHA Residents Society at the Central Police Office on Saturday, the IGP said immediate steps should be taken for implementation of the suggestion in coordination with other welfare organisations.

The delegation expressed concern over the robbery incidents on the route from airport to parts of Clifton.

CCPO Azhar Ali Farooqui informed the meeting that they constituted a team headed by DIG Investigation Zone-II to examine the situation, which had formulated some data on the basis of which police had been deployed to check robberies.

Among others, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Akbar, DIG Traffic Falak Khurshed, DIG Operations Syed Mushtaq Shah, SSP Traffic Zone-I Muhib Ali, AIG Operations Abdul Razak Cheema and SP Anti-Car Lifting Cell attended the meeting.—PPI
