Inter-club football

KARACHI, Nov 7 Kalri Star FC lifted the first PSO Inter-club Football Championship trophy along with Rs25,000 when they beat Nawab XI FC in the tournament final at the Peoples Sports Complex on Sunday.

Nawab XI FC had to remain content with the runners-up trophy and cash reward of Rs15,000.

The one-sided final saw the goals for the winners coming from Javed (52nd min) and Ghulam Mohiuddin (85th min).

Later, the Best Player of the Tournament prize of Rs5,000 cash went to Naseer Nisar (Nawab XI FC) while the Golden Boot award, also of Rs5,000, was presented to Mohammad Habib (Kalri Star FC), who scored six goals in the event. —Sports Reporter
