NAROWAL, April 27: A housing scheme comprising 700 houses over an area of 400 kanals has been approved for the city.

This was stated by Tehsil Nazim Khawaja Muhammad Waseem Butt in a meeting held here on Sunday.

He said the land for the purpose had been acquired on the Zafarwal Road near Ghaziwal Colony. He said the scheme would cost Rs152 million while a sum of Rs60 million had already been released.

The tehsil Nazim said the houses would of three, five, seven and 10 marlas. The proposal for another housing scheme was also under consideration which would be taken in hand after the completion of the first scheme, he added.
