KARACHI: SNF body meeting

Published April 22, 2003

KARACHI, April 21: Sindh National Front has scheduled an urgent meeting of its Sindh Solidarity Council for May 3 at the residence of the Front’s chief, Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, to discuss problems faced by the people of the province.

The issues on the agenda are lawlessness, corruption, maladministration, water scarcity, power shortage, unemployment, poverty and dearness. The Front, in a statement issued on Monday, noted that these problems had made the citizens’ life miserable.

The SSC would chalk out a course of action to bring relief to the masses, it said.

Referring to the resolutions of the provincial assembly on various issues, the statement observed that they carried no weight since the administration had collapsed. As a consequence, it added, tribal conflicts were on the rise.—PPI
