QUETTA At least five bandits were killed in a police raid in Balochistans Chaman area.

Police launched a pre-dawn operation against a group of bandits near the Pak-Afghan border. Five bandits were killed as result, police said.

The sources in Civil Hospital Chaman told DawnNews that dead bodies and injured were being brought to the hospital.

Police said the bandits were involved in robberies inside Pakistan as well as in Afghanistan. The action was taken following mounting pressure on part of the residents of Chaman. — DawnNews
