KOHAT Security forces and police arrested 27 suspected militants during a cleanup operation which is in progress in Kohat and shifted them to an unknown location, DawnNews reported.

An explosives laden white car has reportedly entered Kohat from the tribal areas, DawnNews reported. Security has been put at the highest alert in all government buildings, banks and the cantonment area.

The entry of vehicles in all the bazaars has been banned with immediate effect, DPO Dilawar Khan Bangash said.

A bomb disposal squad also defused a rocket planted in the busy Tirah bazaar.

Earlier, security forces arrested 18 illegal Afghan nationals involved in suspicious activities in the Hangu district and expelled them from Pakistan, sources said. — DawnNews
