QUETTA A remote-controlled bomb planted on a motorcycle parked on the main Quetta-Karachi highway exploded as an FC vehicle passed by, killing a soldier and four civilians on Thursday.

Three other people were injured and taken to Wadh Civil Hospital. Official sources said that the FC vehicle was partially damaged in the blast.

AFP adds The bomb planted on a parked motorbike in Khuzdar district went off near a military vehicle killing three, people including a paramilitary soldier, local police officer Juma Khan said.

At least 10 others, mostly civilians, were injured in the blast, he said.
