KARACHI, April 13: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and Sindh National Front leader Mumtaz Ali Bhutto have urged all segments of society to make integrated efforts for development and prosperity of the province.
The consensus emerged during a meeting between the two, held here on Saturday at the residence of Mr Bhutto. The governor was also accompanied by his advisor Saeed Mazhar Ali.
Dr Ibad termed Mumtaz Bhutto a seasoned politician and expressed his resolve to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas and said that provision of justice and basic facilities of life to the people of Sindh was the top priority of the government.
Former chief minister of Sindh said that efforts were being made for eliminating past bitterness which existed between the rural and urban people of the province.
GULGEE: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad paid a visit to the Gulgee Museum on Saturday.
The governor was shown various artifacts which were exhibited at the museum, an official handout.
Gulgee informed the governor about his creations, which had been presented to various heads of states and renowned personalities of the world. He also displayed different styles of calligraphy which he used for writing ‘Ayahs’ of the Holy Quran and for writing Holy names.
Gulgee showed the governor a unique portrait of Sir Sultan Aga Khan, which was composed by linking 5,000 pieces of stones.
Dr Ibad praised the art of Gulgee and assured that the government would extend all possible help for the promotion of arts at every level. The advisor to the governor, Saeed Mazhar Ali, also accompanied him.—PPI
