HYDERABAD, March 3 Bodies of four people, who lost their lives in Sunday's Karachi boat tragedy, were buried in a graveyard at Indus hills here on Monday.

Bodies of Mohammad Saleem Khan 40, his wife Bushra 35, daughter Naeema Anam 16, and Arshaman 14, were brought to the ancestral home by deceased's brother, Naeem.

Only 12 year old Maha survived in the tragedy.

A pall of gloom hung over the area when four bodies were taken to the ancestral home in ambulances.

District nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Latifabad taluka nazim Sabir Kaimkhani and four MPAs-elect attended the funeral.

Suicide An employee of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Musa Brohi, committed suicide in his house on Monday morning which is located just behind the secretariat of Hyderabad nazim.

He was resident of Jacobabad and his body was taken to his ancestral home for burial. His son Nazeer told journalists that his father was mentally disturbed and hanged himself with a tree in the courtyard of his house.

The body was taken to Civil Hospital Hyderabad. The GOR police said that deceased's son refused to lodge any case with police and submitted in writing that his father committed suicide due to domestic problems.

Case registered The Site police have registered a case against over half a dozen excise police officials under the directives of session judge for keeping three persons in illegal detention and committing robbery. The complaint was submitted to the DJ's court by a woman Ghulam Fatima.

The cases were lodged against the Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Saleem Sheikh, Excise Inspectors Ejaz Khoso, Mazhar Rajput, Saleemullah Samoon, Abdul Jabbar Gharano, Mohammad Ali and others, for keeping Anwar Shah, Hussain Shah and Jaffar Shah in illegal confinement after arresting them.

The complainant had moved the court of sessions judge for registration of her case. She had maintained in her application that the accused had looted Rs280,000 and other articles during a raid at her home and the detainees were her relatives. She claimed that police refused to lodge the case that's why she approached the court. The cases were lodged under section 17(3) of Hudood Ordinance and 342 PPC.
