One dead, 25 hurt in Dera Ismail Khan mosque blast

DERA ISMAIL KHAN A bomb blast exploded at the Ameer Hamza mosque in the Islamia colony of Dera Ismail Khan, private TV channels reported.

According to latest figures one person was killed and 25 injured, four of whom are said to be in critical condition. All of the wounded have been shifted to the district hospital .  

The blast occurred as an estimated 40 people were offering their Maghrib (evening) prayers at the mosque.

The blast is is now believed to have been caused by a hand grenade.
