KARACHI: Murder mystery

Published January 6, 2009

KARACHI, Jan 5 Police are still clueless about the murder of a young girl, whose body was found on Surjani Town late on Saturday night.

The girl, clad in pink trousers and black shirt, was found shot dead near Usman Ghani Masjid in Sector 4-B, Surjani Town. The police have identified her as Sania, aged between 18 and 19 but could not guess a motive for her murder. They said she was a professional dancer and a resident of Malir area.

None from her family or relatives has turned up so far to claim the body, which bore marks of two bullets in the chest.

The police believe that she was shot somewhere else and her body was dumped at the scene. The suspects might have planted two empties at the scene to make it believe that she was killed at the place where the body was lying.

The police also claimed that the victim was dressed after being shot as her clothes did not bear bullet holes.
