CHARSADDA, March 17 An old woman and her grandchild were killed and two children sustained injuries when the roof of their house collapsed in Bagh Koroona on the outskirts of Charsadda on Tuesday.

The roof of the derelict house caved in early in the morning. As a result mother and child of Nizam, the owner of the house, were buried alive under debris of the building. Two of his other sons also suffered wounds.

The residents rushed to the site and succeeded in rescuing two children.

They also recovered two bodies from the rubbles. Later, the deceased were laid to rest in their ancestral graveyard. —Correspondent
