KUANTAM (Malaysia) China fought back from 0-2 down to throw defending champions India out of the race for the semifinals of the 8th Asia Cup Hockey tournament at Kuantan Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

Indian skipper and penalty corner striker Sandeep Singh gave his team a 2-0 lead by striking back to back short corners in 33rd and 34th minute.

But Lu Feng Hui scored a field goal in 44th minute and Yu Yang converted a field goal in 58th minutes to level terms.

The 2004 Busan Asian Games silver medalist, China dominated the first session but were rocked by the Indian double strike. The resilient Chinese players, however, pulled back two goals to storm into the pre-final. Both team secured three penalty corners each.

Pakistan topped group A' with four points with two games remaining while China finishing second with two points and India third. India will now be playing for the fifth and sixth classification match.
