SHIKARPUR, Aug 14 The Pakistan People's Party-Shaheed Bhutto chairperson Ms Ghinwa Bhutto said on Friday that the PPP-government was following in the footsteps of General (retd) Pervez Musharraf who had harmed constitutional and democratic values and done nothing for the country.

Talking to journalists after offering condolences to relatives of late Junaid Ahmed Soomro, a Sindhi wadero famous for his integrity of character and principles, Ms Ghinwa said that present rulers were a team of actors who were staging a farce to mislead people.

She said that despite being in power, the PPP leaders had failed to fulfil promises they had made with people during electioneering.

She supported the local government system and opposed the government's proposal for replacing it with commissioner system.

She said that people who had rendered sacrifices for restoration of democracy had been ignored by the opportunist leaders.

Accompanied by PPP-SB's organiser for Sindh Bangul Chano, district organiser Amir Bux and other party leaders, Ms Ghinwa also paid a visit to the grave of Junaid Soomro and offered fateha.

Later, she went to the Jatoi House and offered condolence to Sindh Minister for Livestock Abid Hussain Jatoi and his father Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jatoi on the death of Abid Jatoi's daughter.
