Sanghar without water

Published December 16, 2009

SANGHAR, Dec 15 The Baldia Employees Union (BEU) protested against the scarcity of drinking water in the town.

The BEU Chairman, Nasir Khan Nizamani said that the Irrigation Department had stopped water supply to taluka municipal because of which they were unable to further supply it to the people.

There was no water supply since the last one month which had dried up the TMA's reservoir making people run here and there for even a few litres, he said adding that tanker mafia was looting the residents by charging Rs200 to Rs500 per tanker.

Nizamani was aghast over the trickling of shortages which had now engulfed drinking water after electricity, flour, sugar and gas.
