I WOULD like to request the chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council to give due consideration to the proposal of the Gazette of Pakistan (May 13, 2006) regarding registration of diploma associate engineers and BTech (Hons.) as Grade I technician and technologist in the Pakistan Engineers Council.
Although the gazette notification was published in the press on April 26 last year, the decision by the PEC is still awaited.
Members of the Diploma of Associate Engineers/B.Tech (Hons.) hope for a positive initative from the PEC chairman at his earliest.
