PTCL`s poor service

Published July 27, 2009

I APPLIED for a PTCL DSL connection in February through PTCL helpline No 1218 and was really impressed by the fast response of the staff and the efficient services of the PTCL as I was provided with the connection the very next day.

After getting the device, I started facing problems on a daily basis and would call the helpline and wait for several minutes for help, but would finally get disconnected. Even if luckily someone would answer my call, he would take my contact number and I would never hear from anybody.

Finally, after waiting for four months and regularly paying my bill, I decided to get rid of the device. I again called the helpline service on June 12 and spoke to a representative and requested him to end the connection.

He took down my request and gave me the complaint No. 52463269 and informed me that the device would be picked from my office within a week's time. It is more than one and a half months now and I keep on calling the helpline service as a reminder to collect the device but in vain.

No one knows what to do. Even the staff gets shocked on learning about the number of times I have called to complaint.

Finally, I have again received this month's bill with DSL charges, which I have been paying for the last four months. Should I keep on paying this for a lifetime?
