KHAIRPUR, Feb 28: On the call of the Communist Party of Pakistan (Khaskheli group) a protest demonstration was held on Friday against the US for its intentions to attack Iraq.

The protesters, led by Communist Party leader Maula Bux Khaskheli, marched from the Mariam Corner to the press club where they held a sit-in.

Speaking to the protesters, Mr Khaskheli said that America was determined to impose war on Iraq, while the world was opposed to its strategies.

While addressing the protesters, Karim Bux Ujjan said that the capitalist countries had always shed the blood of the innocent through wars.

Dr Khadim Bhutto and others also spoke on the occasion.

MAN KILLED: Some unidentified armed men gunned down a retired professor, Abdul Haq Arain, in the Ramzan Arain village within the jurisdiction of the Faiz Ganj police station on Thursday.
